Line breaks or Simple html in Invoice Note

I'd like to be able to have my note when sending email invoices show line breaks. I wouldn't mind having to do it with <br /> or <p> tags, but it won't take anything in the box, so my notes all run together. I end up sending a separate email so they can see I sent a note.

Allowing simple restricted html would be wonderful :)

I love to have the note for the invoice to be plain white as well.
