Account totals from prior years
Hi,
I moved to Cheqbook this year from Quickbooks and have been very happy. I need to compare this year to last year for many categories and I'm not sure the best way to enter last year's data without screwing up this years balances.
Any ideas would be helpful since comparing report to report won't work since we use different category names/subcategories.

I am not an accountant, and you might want to ask one before doing this... I have entered previous year information using the end of year date & totals for a total as a general ledger entries for each category, so I at least have the information.
