Can I delete a transaction?

To delete a transaction use the following steps.

  • Login to
  • Select the company you want to work with.
  • Click on the account you want to work with.
  • Find the transaction you want to delete. 
  • Click "More"
  • Click "More Options" and then "Delete" from the dropdown
  • The transaction will be deleted. However, you may get an error saying that you need to allow deletion.


By default, you cannot delete transactions which are downloaded from the bank.  The purpose of restricting deletion is to avoid accidental deletion of transactions from linked accounts. However, it is not uncommon to need to delete these transactions in cases where the bank data may include duplicates. Use the following steps to delete a downloaded transactions.

  • Login to
  • Select the company you want to work with.
  • Click 'Company Settings' menu
  • Select 'Allow Delete'. Clicking "Allow Delete" on this page will allow you to delete linked transactions for the duration of the current session.


If the transaction does not pertain to the business, you may reclassify the transaction as Other Income, Other Expense, or Personal by creating such an account.

You can delete transactions that you added manually.

You cannot delete transactions that were created from invoices via Customer Invoices or bills via Bill Pay. In these cases, you will need to remove the corresponding invoice/invoice payment or bill/bill payment.

You can also delete more than one transactions at a time using the following steps.
