How can I close or lock my books up to a certain date?

Cheqbook allows you to close or lock your books up to a certain date to avoid making changes to old data using the following steps.

• Login to http://secure.cheqbook.com
• Select the company you want to work with.
• Click the company name in the upper right to get the company menu. 
• Click "Settings"
• Click "Lock Books"
• Enter a Closing Date. IMPORTANT:  Closing date should be more than 30 days ago to allow for potential updates from the bank.
• Enter a password and password confirmation. IMPORTANT: This password cannot be reset. Make sure to save this password. You will need it to unlock the books. 
• Click "Lock"

To unlock or open the books, us the following steps.

• Login to http://secure.cheqbook.com
• Select the company you want to work with.
• Click the company name in the upper right to get the company menu. 
• Click "Settings"
• Click "Unlock Books"
• Enter a password
• Click "Unlock"
